The Toledo Blade on Sunday endorsed President Obama for re-election while the Cincinnati Inquirer Saturday endorsed Mitt Romney.

The Blade, which also endorsed Obama in 2008, spent a large part of their editorial  this time around on the auto industry bailout.

The Cincinnati Inquirer, which endorsed John McCain in 2008, cited Romney’s experience as governor of Massachusetts, including his health care reform law, in their endorsement. But in the Ohio Senate race, the Inquirer endorsed incumbent Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, stating that the GOP challenger, state treasurer Josh Mandel, “frankly, is not ready to represent Ohio in the United States Senate.”

Last weekend, the Cleveland Plain Dealer endorsed Obama and the Columbus Dispatch endorsed Romney.
