Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Thursday that Fox News apologized to him—but he wouldn’t name names.

Trump said in an interview with CNN that he spoke with someone from Fox News on the phone about the way its Republican presidential debate was handled. Trump decided to skip the debate and hold his own campaign event after the network released a scathing statement in response to comments Trump made about Fox host Megyn Kelly’s ability to moderate the debate fairly.

“By the time they apologized, I said ‘Look, the problem is we now have a big event scheduled,” Trump said. “Fox could not have been nicer.”

CNN host Briana Keilar asked Trump who apologized to him.

“I don’t want to say,” he replied.

Trump added that he might’ve attended the debate if his campaign event hadn’t garnered so much interest, “Fox was very, very nice to me.”

A Fox News spokesperson did not immediately respond to TPM’s request for comment.
