Donald Trump said Wednesday that he thought his opponent Hillary Clinton knew the contents of embarrassing hacked emails between Democratic National Committee officials before they were published online last week via Wikileaks.

Speaking at a news conference in Florida, Trump said that the comments DNC officials made in the emails were a “disgrace.”

“And it was Debbie Wasserman Schultz and, believe me as sure as you’re sitting there, Hillary Clinton knew about it,” Trump said. “She knew everything, Debbie Wasserman Schultz could not breathe without speaking and getting approval from Hillary Clinton.”

The emails showed that officials had brainstormed ways to undermine Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) campaign in favor of Clinton’s. Wasserman Schultz announced she was stepping down as party chair over the incident. The FBI is currently investigating the hack of the DNC’s servers.

Trump repeated his assertion that the Democratic primary race was “rigged.”

“And Debbie Wasserman Schultz rigged it for Hillary Clinton and the sad part is Bernie Sanders has, to use an old word that I used on occasion, he’s lost his energy. He wants to go home and go to sleep,” he said.
