Toomey: ‘Let The Political Chips Fall Where They Fall’

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) brushed aside speculation about the political fallout from his compromise background checks bill Sunday, saying he’ll “just let the political chips fall where they fall.”

“In 1999 I supported expanding background checks,” Toomey said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I just think it makes common sense. I’ll just let the political chips fall where they fall.”
