“Up In Smoke” actor Tommy Chong appeared Wednesday on Fox’s “Outnumbered” as a rather unconventional panelist for the conservative show.
Chong, the day’s “One Lucky Guy” among four women panelists, criticized the conservative media’s coverage of comments made by Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber about “the stupidity of the American voter.”
“To me it’s just another attack on Obamacare, from another angle,” Chong said. “Sounds like Benghazi all over again.”
When pressed about the Democrats’ response to Gruber’s comments, Chong reminded his hosts about another famous and elitist comment from across the aisle.
“Did I remember a guy named — what was it — Mitt Romney said something about 47-percent –” before co-host Andrea Tantaros reminded him to “stay on topic.”
While Tantaros was incredulous that Democrats lied about knowing Gruber, Chong remained unfazed.
“It’s called politics,” Chong said. “American politics are based on lies.”
