Former congressman and one-time Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo is considering a gubernatorial bid next year in Colorado, the Denver Post reported.

Tancredo, an immigration hard-liner, told the Post that he hasn’t finalized his plans. He ran for governor in 2010 as a third-party candidate in a race that was easily won by current Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D). Hickenlooper is enormously popular in the state, as evidenced by the PollTracker Average of his job approval rating.
