The Onion’s Twitter feed was apparently hacked by supporters of Syria’s ruling regime on Monday, who tweeted out a series of statements mocking Syrian rebels fighting to overthrow dictator Bashar al-Assad. The publication treated the situation the way they do most upsetting news stories: with some brutally dark humor. Here’s The Onion’s response to the hackers, who called themselves the “Syrian Electronic Army.” An earlier Onion post acknowledged the hacking as well.
