A Terrell, Texas man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly leaving threatening messages on a hot line set up to collect tips in the recent murders of the Kaufman County district attorney and his wife, The Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday.

Nick Morale, 56, (pictured) faces a charge of making a terroristic threat, and is being held on $1 million bail.

From the Morning News:

Authorities say Morale left several threatening messages on a tips line, though they did not reveal the contents of the messages and it’s unclear whether he’s believed to have any connection to last weekend’s slayings of DA Mike McLelland, his wife, Cynthia, or the Jan 31. killing of Assistant DA Mark Hasse. It’s also unclear when the threats began.
