Rock musician Ted Nugent reportedly isn’t endorsing Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) or incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) in the Republican Primary.

Nugent’s decision was tweeted out by Texas Tribune editor in chief Evan Smith.

Back in February Stockman invited Nugent as his guest to the State of the Union address.

“I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama,” Stockman said in a statement ahead of the president’s speech. “After the Address I’m sure Ted will have plenty to say.”

Nugent has been an outspoken critic of Obama. In April 2012, the Secret Service questioned Nugent after he said at a National Rifle Association convention he’d either be “dead or in jail” if Obama won a second term in office.
