Conservative rocker Ted Nugent believes that gun control is a Jewish-led conspiracy.

A meme shared Sunday on Nugent’s Facebook page alleges that Jewish leaders, including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, are behind a concerted effort to confiscate Americans’ guns. The meme showed a small Israeli flag stamped on each individual’s face below the title: “So who is really behind gun control?”

In his caption, Nugent refers to the Jewish politicians as “punks” who “hate freedom”:

He later defended the meme, writing “What sort of racist prejudiced POS could possibly not know that Jews for guncontrol are nazis in disguise?”

The aging rocker’s anti-Semitic kick didn’t end there. On Monday, he posted a photo comparing anti-gun Americans to Holocaust victims, writing that both were “soulless sheep to slaughter.”

That meme showed Nazi officers rounding up Jewish families alongside text that says Hitler got “millions of people to follow along blindly and not fight back.” Nugent added his own two cents in a caption, saying he wouldn’t follow the same path of these “soulless sheep.”

Nugent, a National Rifle Association board member, is no stranger to Internet controversy. He’s peppered his Facebook page with memes that called Rev. Al Sharpton a “mongrel” and suggested Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama be “hung” over the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.
