A spokesman for the Tea Party Patriots said that a fundraising email sent out Tuesday showing a manipulated photo of GOP operative Karl Rove wearing an SS uniform was a “mistake which was never approved” by the organization, Politico reported.
According to the report, the fundraising email’s subject line read, “Wipe the Smirk Off Karl Rove’s Face.”
