Romney surrogate John Sununu told Fox News on Tuesday he is not a “great believer” in debate “zingers” unless they’re rooted in facts. He laid out what Mitt Romney needs to do against Obama Wednesday night:
“I think the key to a debate is to be precise in what you say and precise in your responses. Maintain a tone that the public thinks is not demeaning to the office.
Romney campaign staffers told The New York Times that the Republican candidate has memorized and practiced his debate “zingers” since August.
