There will be no shortage of newsmakers on this morning’s political talk shows, following a week that saw President Obama and his presumptive challenger Mitt Romney do battle over the killing of Osama bin Laden, Newt Gingrich really really really drop out of the race, and Mr. Obama officially launch his re-election campaign. There are also crucial primaries on Tuesday, one of which could see Indiana’s longtime Republican Senator Dick Lugar lose his job. 

The lineup:

  • Vice President Joe Biden will appear on NBC’s Meet the Press.
     
  • On Fox News Sunday, Senator and veep contender Marco Rubio will join.
     
  • Newt Gingrich will discuss his official exit from the race on CBS Face the Nation. Michele Bachmann, Chuck Schumer and Howard Dean will also be on the program.
     
  • On ABC This Week, senior adviser to the president David Axelrod will appear, as will Arizona Sen. John McCain.
     
  • Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and former Virginia Congressman Tom Davis appear on CNN’s State of the Union.
