The BBC reports that a suicide car bomb has killed seven and wounded “many more” outside Kandahar University in southern Afghanistan. The attacker slammed a car into a second vehicle, which was carrying a group of workers from a nearby US military base. A spokesman for the provincial governor said most of the casualties were Afghan.
Locals noted that high-ranking officials often study at the university in the evenings. The attacks come one day after another attacker, dressed as an Afghan policeman, shot and killed three British soldiers.
