Conservatives promised that Wednesday’s hearing held by the House Oversight Committee on last year’s deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya would expose the Obama administration’s scandalous cover-up.
As Jon Stewart noted, we’ve seen this movie before. First, Fox News told viewers to brace themselves for the November testimony from former CIA director David Petraeus. Then came former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s “highly anticipated” testimony in January.
Pointing to the conservative cable news network’s “history of hysteria” when it comes to its coverage of President Barack Obama, Stewart reminded viewers that “the denizens of bullshit mountain have cried wolf before.”
