Stephen Colbert has been having as much fun with the 2016 election cycle as any other comedian, frequently testing the limits of CBS’ censors, such as on Monday when he gleefully drew a massive “diagram” of Trump’s conspiracies on a chalkboard.

But he kicked into high gear on Wednesday night in his live broadcast following the third and final Presidential debate.

“Though it came halfway through the debate tonight, I think the definitive moment of the debate tonight; of the election; of the American Experiment, came when Chris Wallace asked Donald Trump if he would accept the results of the election on Nov. 8,” Colbert said.

He played Trump’s clip refusing to commit to whether or not he would accept the results of the election.

“Oh, suspense! Democracy’s going to end in a cliffhanger,” Colbert said.

“I guess we’re all going to have to wait until Nov. 9 to find out if we still have a country… If Donald Trump is in the mood for a peaceful transfer of power, or if he’s going to wipe his fat ass with the Constitution.”
