Jon Stewart, a late-night television king with a cause but no show, crashed the show of fellow late-night television king Stephen Colbert on Thursday night to deliver an important message for Congress: Pass the Zadroga Act and give healthcare to 9/11 first responders.
But no one will hear Stewart’s plea unless he “Trump’s it up,” according to “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert.
So, Stewart donned a horrible wig and Colbert painted Cheetos orange dust on Stewart’s face — and Stewart “brought the Trump.”
“These 9/11 first responders are the most top-notch, first-class, diamond-encrusted heroes American can produce. Don’t let Congress play politics with this necessary bill. If I’m elected — and I will be elected — I will build a wall around politics and I will make politics pay for it,” Stewart said.
“Tell ’em Donald said pull up your big-boy pants and make America great again,” he said.
