In an interview with NBC’s Chuck Todd, Senator Arlen Specter doubled down on his claim made Thursday that he and Rick Santorum never had a deal for an endorsement in exchange for support of judicial nominees, despite what Santorum said in the debate on Wednesday night.

“That is flatly not true. We never had any such conversation – it would be improper,” Specter said.

Going further on the question of whether Santorum should be the nominee, Specter said, “I do not think it is realistic for Rick Santorm to represent America.”
