The progressive group MoveOn.org is running a new ad on Spanish-language TV stations in Florida later this week challenging Mitt Romney to oppose the Florida government’s purge of potential non-citizens from its voter rolls. Critics point out that eligible voters will also be removed from the rolls, with Latino voters hit hardest. The ad ties in several of the group’s goals: fighting Republican efforts to restrict access to the polls, opposing Romney and rallying the Latino community.

“With exclusion from the voting rolls by Gov. Scott, Latinos will be the most affected. And if the Latinos don’t vote, Mitt Romney wins. This exclusion is not only illegal, it’s also racist. Why doesn’t Mitt Romney disapprove?” the ad asks.

The 60-second spot will air from Thursday, July 5 to Saturday, July 7 on Spanish-language television stations in Miami, Orlando and Tampa.
