Tea Partiers in Mississippi tried to troll Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) one last time. The South Mississippi Tea Party reportedly offered a last-minute endorsement to former Rep. Travis Childers, the long-shot Democrat running against Cochran.

Tea Partiers have been bitter since Cochran crushed tea party favorite state Sen. Chris McDaniel in a runoff election of the Republican Party and then was defeated in court when McDaniel contested those results.

Cochran, since then, has been widely expected to win re-election.
