Saturday Night Live mocked the debate coverage on MSNBC when host Chris Matthews was upset by President Obama’s debate performance during their live coverage Wednesday night. In SNL’s sketch Saturday, Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, the Rev. Al Sharpton, and conservative commentator S.E. Cupp discuss the debate three days later.
Maddow begins the sketch: “Tonight we try to pick up the pieces and make sense of Barack Obama’s performance in Wednesday’s debate. Or as we’re calling it at MSNBC, ‘The worst thing that ever happened anywhere.'”
