Ahmed Shafiq, the former prime minister under Hosni Mubarak, is set to hold a press conference later this afternoon to dismiss “lies” about Mohammed Morsi, his Muslim Brotherhood opponent, winning the election. Shafiq’s campaign claims that its candidate is winning by at least 200,000 votes.

“The Egyptian public will know the truth — Shafiq is leading the race, not Morsi,” said Ahmed Sarhan, spokesman of Shafiq’s campaign. “No one is president till Thursday.”
