The Senate on Friday approved a resolution condemning the violence in Syria, the AP reports. The resolution expresses disappointment with China and Russia for vetoing a UN Security Council resolution urging President Bashar Assad to step aside. The resolution also calls Syria’s use of force against civilians “brutal and unjustifiable.”
