Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) joined several Republicans and one Democrat in filibustering the nomination of John Brennan as director of the CIA on Wednesday, and opened with a reference to his memorable State of the Union response.
“Let me give you some free advice: keep some water nearby,” he said, as Paul chuckled. “Trust me.”
“If we don’t ask these questions, who’s going to ask them?” Rubio asked later. “The press?”
