Federal officials’ search of the Connecticut home of a reputed mobster yesterday turned up two guns — but no priceless works of art. Authorities suspect that Robert Gentile, 75, has information related to the famous 1990 Isabella Stewart Gardner museum heist.

Gentile’s lawyer, A. Ryan McGuigan, told The Boston Herald that authorities only found two firearms at his client’s home. Gentile is already facing drug and weapons charges.

“This is what’s called squeezing,” McGuigan told the Herald. “If they can charge him with any ticky-tacky crime, they’re going to increase the pressure on him.”
