Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown said in Tampa that he was asked to play a larger role at the Republican National Convention, but turned it down.

“Well I have my own race, I have my one life, as you know. There’s only so many days in the year to be a dad and a husband, and a soldier, and a senator and run for re-election,” Brown said, in video posted by the Boston Herald. “Yeah, I was asked but I have other commitments, and I’m honored to be here right now.”
