Scott Brown Piggybacks On ‘You Didn’t Build That’ Attack To Slam Warren

Massachusettts Sen. Scott Brown is out with a new web video attacking opponent Elizabeth Warren by linking comments she has made last year to President Obama’s recent line that small business owners benefited from the infrastructure that all Americans have helped pay for. The Romney campaign has made hay out of Obama’s comment — a reference to the infrastructure that made that business possible — by taking the line out of context. Warren made similar comments about the importance of infrastructure in the success of American businesses last year.  

Brown’s video features audio and footage of figures from John F. Kennedy to Lyndon Johnson to Ronald Reagan praising free enterprise, then juxtaposes that footage with Obama’s edited line and then Warren’s similar comments.  

As TPM noted last week, Mitt Romney has made the same point as Obama and Warren about the importance of infrastructure in the success small businesses.
