Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum spoke about his win in Saturday’s Louisiana Republican primary from Green Bay, Wisconsin, saying that the results mean the race for the nomination will go continue. “We’re still here, we’re still fighting,” Santorum said.
Even though Santorum is set to win the popular vote in Louisiana, his rival former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will still pick up some delegates, and remains well in the lead for the nomination on that count. But Santorum coninued his mantra that he’s the standard bearer the party needs.
“I’m not running as the conservative candidate for president,” Santorum said in Wisconsin. “I am the conservative candidate for president.”
