Speaking at a Tea Party rally in Stuart,FL, Rick Santorum made the case for himself using terms that Newt Gingrich has invoked: the American electorate needs a clear choice between the eventual GOP nominee and President Barack Obama in the general election.

“We need someone who represents a nice, stark, clear contrast,” Santorum said.

The remark contained more clarity and less controversy than Santorum’s comments earlier this month when he argued that Mitt Romney represents a “paler shade of what we have.”
