On Fox News Sunday, Rick Santorum walked back comments he made last week when he called President Obama a “snob” for wanting all Americans to attend college. But when confronted with evidence that Obama has called for giving young people choices, including a four-year college education, community college, or technical job training, Santorum said, “If it was an error, then I agree with the president” that giving students options is the right course.

On Friday, Santorum said he shouldn’t have used the word “snob” to describe the president, but blamed it on the fact that he doesn’t have a speech writer and that he got a little passionate in the moment.
