Rick Santorum’s wife, Karen, has given a rare interview. Her interlocutor was the right-wing talk show host Glenn Beck. She told him that though she had once opposed her husband running for President, she finally decided it was ‘God’s Will.’
According to the Washington Post, she said healthcare reform was what really pushed her towards accepting the decision:
“I did always feel in my heart that God had big plans for Rick. Eventually it was there, tugging at my heart,” she said. “When Obamacare passed, that was it. That put the fire in my belly.”
She also defended her husband’s roundly criticized performance at Wednesday night’s debate.
