Rick Santorum told CNN Wednesday morning that Mitt Romney didn’t always want to be such a Washington outsider. “It’s not that Gov. Romney didn’t want to be Sen. Romney,” Santorum said, but he lost his bid for Congress.

Santorum said Romney has undoubtedly had a great career in the private sector. “But we’re not running for CEO of the country,” he said. On issues such as health care, a Wall Street buyout, etc., Santorum said “Mr. Private Sector” was “Mr. Big Government.”
