Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum continued his closing pitch to Iowans on caucus day with a story about his father, an Italian immigrant, as a reminder that the American story is about building something new and shaping the future though contemporary policy.
In a speech to younger voters at the ‘Rock The Caucus’ event, he dialed down the partisanship and said that whoever they vote for today, keep them accountable. “I used to meet with every group of high school students that came to visit me [when he was in the US Senate], and I reminded them, ‘We work for you, not the other way around.’”
