Santorum senior adviser John Brabender questioned Romney’s ability to make moral judgments Wednesday morning, pointing to the time Romney left the family dog, Seamus, on the roof of the car.

“I’m not sure I’m going to listen to a value judgment of a guy who strapped his own dog on the top of a car and went hurling down the highway,” Brabender said on CNN in response to Romney’s comment Tuesday that Santorum was “desperate.” “For Mitt Romney to be going out there, saying that this is desperate, is an insult also to the voters in places like Mississippi and Alabama who evidently didn’t get the Romney desperate memo.”
