Sandra Fluke went on the Ed Show on MSNBC on Thursday night to respond to Fox News host Monica Crowley’s tweet questioning whether Fluke’s recent engagement was “to a man?”

“I’m not offended to be asked whether or not I’m with a woman, it’s not offensive to me to be gay to be out in that way, but it was clearly meant as an insult and that is homophoic and offensive,” Fluke said, calling Crowley’s comment “hate speech.”

“I don’t really care if it was a joke or not, if it was a joke, it was a homophobic joke,” Fluke said.
