A clothing maker has placed a label on men’s shirts with some sexist directions on how to care for the garment.

Clean it using the proper water temperature and drying settings.

Or just “give it to your woman” because “it’s her job.”

The Huffington Post reported on Wednesday that the sexist label was shared by a Twitter user on March 5 who spotted the instructions on soccer jerseys made by the Indonesian company Salvo Sports Apparel. The jerseys were provided to the Indonesian Super League team Pusamania Borneo, according to the HuffPost.

The Indonesian company apologized for the sexist label on March 8 via a message on Twitter. In the apology, which the HuffPost translated from its original Indonesian, the company expressed its desire to “apologize profusely” for any confusion about the label.

“The message is simply, instead of washing it in the wrong way, you might as well give it to a lady because they are more capable,” the apology read. “There is no intention to humiliate women. In contrast [we want to tell the men] learn from women how to take care of clothes.”
