Paul Ryan said at a campaign event on Tuesday that the referees who made a controversial call at the end of the Packers-Seahawks game on Monday remind him of President Obama and the economy. The replacement referees filling in for the NFL refs, who have been locked out since the summer due to a labor dispute with the league, must work for the Obama budget office, Ryan said. The replacement referees granted a touchdown at the end of the game, awarding the victory to the Seahawks.

“If you can’t get it right get out,” Ryan said.

Correction: A previous version stated the refs were on strike. The refs have been locked out due to a labor dispute with the NFL.
