On CBS’s Face the Nation, Norah O’Donnell grilled Rep. Paul Ryan on his new budget plan and whether Mitt Romney would pass it if elected president.
“I’m not expecting everybody to enact every little piece of this,” Ryan said, “but yes, he and the other candidates running for president have embraced these kinds of reforms.”
O’Donnell followed up, asking, “So if Mitt Romney became president of the United States, you’re convinced he would follow-through with a lot of the reductions that you make?” Yes, yes,” Ryan responded. “And you’re not concerned that this is going to hurt your party in November?” O’Donnell continued. “Not at all,” Ryan responded.
