Paul Ryan’s Democratic opponent for his House seat in Wisconsin, Rob Zerban, launched his first TV ad Friday — with a buy of $200,000. The ad targets Ryan’s proposal to privatize Medicare.

“Paul Ryan — his controversial budget for America has been called ‘dangerous,’ ‘cruel,’ and ‘deeply wrong,'” the announcer says. “The Ryan plan ends Medicare, slashes funding for college loans, and gives millionaires a lavish tax cut.”

The ad then cuts to Zerban introducing himself: “This country is stronger when we invest in the mid class. I will never cut Medicare benefits — ever. I started two successful businesses, creating great-paying jobs. I’m Rob Zerban, and I approve this message, because I believe everybody deserves their shot at the American dream.”
