Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed the finger at the US on Wednesday, charging Washington with arming the Syrian government. His accusation comes on the heels of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s remarks on Tuesday that Moscow was sending attack helicopters to Damascus “which will escalate the conflict quite dramatically,” she said. When pressed on the allegations Lavrov said that Russia was supplying Syria with “anti-air defense systems” which, he added, “in no way violates international laws.”
