Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is in the Middle East this week touring Jordan and Israel on behalf of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Foreign Relations Committee, upon which he serves. Above, Rubio is briefed on Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.
In his first official visit to the country, Rubio took the position that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel on Wednesday, wading into the deeply controversial issue of whether Israelis or Palestinians have rights to the city.
