Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) will address the future of his party in a forthcoming book slated to be released after next year’s midterm elections, The Hill reported.

The still-untitled book be published by Sentinel, a Penguin imprint that published Rubio’s memoir, “An American Son.”

The timing of the publication — and indeed, the book itself — will likely ramp up speculation that the Florida Republican is gearing up for a White House bid in 2016.

Rubio has long been considered one of the GOP’s top 2016 contenders, but his support on the right dried up this summer after he took a leading role on immigration reform. Jim DeMint, president of the Heritage Foundation, acknowledged last week that Rubio has been “hurt some” for his involvement on immigration reform.
