Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Sunday that he hopes to convince some of his more wary Republican colleagues to support the immigration reform bill that he and the rest of the Gang of Eight plan to release next week.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rubio explained that he personally has come around to new positions on various aspects of the bill, and that this will allow him to explain to his colleagues how his opinions have evolved and bring them along.
“I hope I can convince people that this is the right approach,” Rubio said.
