You’ve got to hand it to Ron Paul. For all the cheers he gets when addressing hardline economic issues, he does stray into some very unpopular areas when it comes to Foreign Policy, and he doesn’t hold back. Responding to Sen. Santorum’s “Jihadis hate us because we’re free” routine, Paul begins explaining to the crowd that Osama attacked us not because of that but because of our bases in the Muslim world and support for Israel’s mistreatment of the Palestinians.
The boos become overwhelming.
“I didn’t say it!” Paul says. “I’m just trying to explain what they’ve said.”
