Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Wednesday said Hillary Clinton’s testimony on the Benghazi, Libya attack amounted to “theatrics” intended to dodge Johnson’s line of questioning.

“I wasn’t trying to get under her skin, I was just trying to get a relatively simple question answered, which she didn’t really want to answer,” Johnson said on Wisconsin’s WTMJ radio, according to Politico.

“I’m not trying to be obnoxious here, I’m just trying to get the answers I believe the American people deserve to hear,” he added. “It’s been four months.”

A visibly riled Clinton shot back at Johnson during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, after he questioned why State Department officials didn’t retrieve information from evacuated U.S. diplomatic staff on the eve of the attack.
