Mitt Romney praise the “far-reaching” meeting he and President-elect Donald Trump had Saturday afternoon, telling reporters it was “thorough and in-depth.”

Romney gave a brief and vague statement, calling the meeting “far-reaching” and that they discussed matters that are of “real significance.”

“We had a far-reaching conversation with regards to the theaters in the world that are of interest to the United States of real significance,” Romney said. “We discussed those areas and exchanged our views on those topics, very thorough and in-depth discussion in the time we had.”

“I look forward to the coming administration,” he continued.

Trump did not speak to reporters, instead giving a thumbs up and returning inside.

The meeting, which took place at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where Trump’s transition team will work for the weekend, was highly anticipated because of rumors that Trump will pick Romney as his Secretary of State. The meeting lasted about an hour and half.
