Romney Touts Bob Dole’s Endorsement After Mocking His Support Of McCain In ’08

Mitt Romney has received the endorsement of 1996 presidential nominee former-Sen. Bob Dole. The Romney campaign ran an ad featuring the endorsement letter in the Des Moines Register on Sunday.

In 2008, when Dole supported John McCain, Romney derided Dole as “probably the last person I would have wanted to write a letter for me.” Shortly afterward, he walked back those comments.
