Mitt Romney will speak at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting on Friday. According to the NRA’s website, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are also scheduled to speak.
Romney has previously stated his support of the Second Amendment and said he owns guns. “I believe in the Second Amendment, I’ll protect the Second Amendment, I have guns myself,” he said in Ohio in late February. “Not going to tell you where they are. Don’t have them on myself either, all right.”
In 2007, Romney said he owned guns but later clarified that they actually belonged to his son.
