Speaking at a private fundraiser in Florida on Sunday, Mitt Romney said the GOP will have to propose policies to win Latino voters, such as a GOP-proposed version of the Dream Act, reports the Wall Street Journal. A version created by Sen. Marco Rubio is in the works, TPM reported last week.
“We’re going to be able to get Hispanic voters,” Mr. Romney said. “We’re going to overcome the issue of immigration.”
Romney disclosed a level of detail Sunday he often omits on the trail, and was overheard by reporters on the sidewalk outside the event.
