Right now, Rick Santorum is a few points ahead of Mitt Romney in the polls in Michigan. But asked by a reporter if he could lose Michigan, Romney said, “That won’t happen.” Romney explained that people would eventually come around to support him. “You have seen just how mercurial the sentiments of voters are until they get to know the candidate,” Romney said. “It’s always been a two person race. First, it was me against Donald Trump, then it was me against Michele Bachmann, me against Newt Gingrich and now it’s me against Rick Santorum.”
